Our Geodesign Barriers are protecting people, buildings and critical infrastructure across the world. Along the Wharfage, in the birthplace of the industrial revolution in England – Ironbridge Gorge – a length of 550m of barrier has regularly been deployed to prevent residents and businesses from flooding, since 2005. During one of the deployments (December 2015), one of the local businessmen along this stretch of the river Severn had the following to say about the barrier:
“We would not have bought the White Hart if it had not been for the security of the flood barrier. The site would not be viable without the protection it offers.”
– Alex Nicoll, White Hart, Ironbridge.
