Geodesign Barriers was founded in a time of great need. Sten-Magnus Kullberg, a civil engineer and inventor, witnessed the devastating impact of flooding on communities and infrastructure. He knew there had to be a better solution to protect against this natural disaster.
Thus, Kullberg developed the first variant of Geodesign Barriers over 30 years ago. This innovative product consisted of a 95 cm system that used pallets leaned against a collapsible metal support, covered with a plastic membrane. The design was simple, yet effective, and it quickly gained attention.
Over the years, Geodesign Barriers has evolved and expanded. Today, the company is represented in over 24 countries and has sold over 150 km of barriers. However, the mission remains the same: to protect cities, infrastructure, businesses, and homes from the damage caused by flooding.
At Geodesign Barriers, we believe that flooding is a problem that can be solved. Our innovative product provides a solution that can protect against a large part of all floods. We are dedicated to reaching even more countries and helping communities protect themselves from the devastating impact of flooding.
We are proud of the work we do and the impact we have on communities around the world. Every day, we strive to make a difference and protect against one of the world's most destructive natural disasters.
At Geodesign Barriers, we believe that our team is our greatest asset. We are a family-owned business, with four siblings at the helm, and we operate from two offices, one in Stockholm, Sweden, and the other in Chicago, IL, U.S.
